Mainz Finthen Airport 

The Mainz-Finthen airfield is a traffic landing place in the Rhineland-Palatinate state capital Mainz. Operator is the airfield Mainz Finthen GmbH on behalf of the former operator, the aviation club Mainz. The airfield was operated in the period from 1993 to 1 August 2008 by a non-profit organization. 200 m away from the airport is the stop Layenhof of the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbundes. Access by motor vehicles is only permitted via the Layenhof. Through the airfield runs on the northeastern edge of a private bike path between the Layenhof, the Ober-Olmer forest and Finthen, which may be used during operating hours.
