Pico Airport

The Pico Airport is located along the northern western coast of the island, between the capital and the village of Santa Luzia. The airport is located 8 kilometers from the urban center of Madalena and it can be easily reached by taking the regional highway Er1. The Pico Airport operates through regular connections with Lisbon via TAP Portugal, as well as regional flights between the Azores islands, in particular with the airports of Terceira and Ponta Delgada.

Faro Airport

Faro International Airport is located 4 km to the west of Faro in Portugal. The airport opened in July 1965 and a total of 6.4 million passengers used Faro airport in 2015. Faro Airport became a hub for the first time in March 2010, when Ryanair decided to base seven of its aircraft there. It gets very busy during the summer months to the extent that it becomes a slot coordinated airport. It is capable of handling six million passengers a year. It offers  22 stands of which 16 are remote, with 60 check-in desks and 36 boarding gates.
