Berlin Tempelhof Airport

Berlin-Tempelhof Airport was one of the first commercial airports in Germany along with the Berlin airports Johannisthal and Staaken and in 1923 started regular service. It was until its closure on 30 October 2008, Berlin-Tegel and Berlin-Schönefeld one of three international airports in the Greater Berlin and was called the central airport. In 2007, around 350,000 passengers were handled there. Since 2010, the former airport site is designated by the state of Berlin and its companies with the project name Tempelhofer Freiheit and is open to the public. Düsseldorf Airport is the third largest airport in Germany and the most important international hub of North Rhine-Westphalia.
