Vigo-Peinador Airport
Vigo is the capital of Pontevedra province. The airport is 10km east from the center of Vigo and 28km from the center of Pontevedra, it is situated in the municipalities of Redondela, Vigo and Mos, in the Province of Pontevedra, Spain. In Vigo airport, the terminal has two floors including the areas for departures, arrivals, catering, shops, services and administration offices. As well as, has a runway and an aircraft-parking apron, part of which is used as a heliport. There is also a control tower, a cargo terminal, a fire and rescue building, a transmitter station, a general aviation zone and a power plant.
History
In 1911, aviation began in Vigo with an air show presented by the Frenchman Jules Verdines. Two additional aviation festivals took place in 1913, in Coya, and in 1919, at the beach in Panjon. The airport was built between 1947 and 1952, the year in which the aeronautical obligations were published. On 20th of April 1954, it opened to full domestic and international tourist civil air traffic although the complementary facilities were yet to be completed. In 1995, a new terminal was built and the apron was enlarged. Finally, in 2004, the Category II/III Instrument Landing System (ILS) became operational. Vigo Airport already handled 1,129,689 passengers, 12,526 aircraft movements and 1,061 tons of cargo in 2018.

Bus
Every 30 minutes with line 9A you can get a transport which connects the airport with the city center and the road takes only 20 minutes.
Train
With bus line 9A every 30 minutes you can get to Vigo-Urzáiz railway station, the journey time from the airport to the Train station will take 25 minutes. Vigo-Urzáiz railway station provides high-speed connectivity to Pontevedra, Vilagarcía de Arousa, Santiago de Compostela and A Coruña. While to Vigo-Guixar railway station you can get a bus transport by lines 8, 16 and 24, where the station provides connectivity to Porto, Pontevedra, Vilagarcía de Arousa, Santiago de Compostela, A Coruña, Madrid, Ourense, Monforte de Lemos, Palencia, León, Ponferrada, Zamora, Redondela, Arcade, Padrón and Ordes.
