Started from 1924 Lyon- Bron Airport offered regular international flights to Geneva, Switzerland. During the World War II, it was used as a military airfield by the German Luftwaffe (as a Radar Station), thus in 1945 airfield was harmed heavy damage by United States Army Air Force, but later on was liberated.
