Ibiza Airport
Ibiza airport is the international airport for the Balearic Islands of Ibiza and Formentera, officially known as “Aeroport d’Eivissa” in Catalan. It is located in the southwest of Ibiza Island and about 7 km southwest of Ibiza city center. The Airport has started during the Spanish Civil War as a temporary military airport. In 1958, it was reopened with the quickly development of the touristic market of the Balearic Islands, and in late 90’s it has started serving more than 3 million passengers per year. The Airport is a very important link with Spain, Europe and the entire globe, since Ibiza is one of the popular Holiday destinations and known by the top 10 party destinations in Europe.
Ibiza Airport Terminals
Ibiza airport, counts with a single passenger Terminal that consists: Floor 0 and Floor 1, where international and domestic flights are served. Floor 0: on this floor, there are the Arrivals and the baggage carousels and on the right side, the check-in counters and access to boarding gates. Floor 1: This floor is for the Departures and you can find several cafeterias and shops. From here, passengers are able to access to boarding gates 1 to 17, distributed left to right.

Ibiza Airport provides free special assistance for passengers with reduced mobility and with impaired hearing but you have to request 48 hours in advance. The meeting points with the support service for these passengers are located at the Arrivals forecourt, Departures forecourt and at the Terminal interior public lobby.
