Aéroport de Dijon-Bourgogne is located in department Côte-d'Or of administrative region Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Only at 6 km away from Dijon city. Being one of the minor unscheduled airports in France, is mostly catering for flights to and from Bordeaux and Toulouse. During high seasons airport operates some charter flights to summer popular destinations with Luxair, Brussels Airlines and Iberia Air Nostrum, but these also have started to be recovered by another airport, named aéroport de Dole-Jura.
Spot of history
The airport is located on the military Dijon Air Base 102 in the town of Ouges. Nowadays it has an “open airport” status for commercial use and has been named Aéroport Dijon-Bourgogne. Formerly managed by the Côte-d'Or Chamber of Commerce and Industry, redefinition took place and the airport activities are now oriented mainly to business aviation, sanitary transportation services and aerial work as well as amateur leisure aviation. Eastern Airways offered regular flights until 2014, so passengers could fly to Nantes, Bordeaux, Toulouse, since that time, no company regularly serves the airport, apart from Airline Dan Air London, Air France and Buzz companies. Charters flights during the high seasons has the following destinations: Corsica, Spain, Italy, the Maghreb, the Middle East and Africa. The airport has a considerable business aviation platform: Netjets, TAG Aviation, Jetfly Aviation, Aerovision regularly land there. Political figures, presidents and members of the various governments as well as music and cinema artists have frequented the platform.
