Frankfurt-Hahn Airport is a civilian airport in Rhineland-Palatinate converted from US military use since 1993. Germany's sixth-largest cargo airport is around 125 kilometers by road west of Frankfurt am Main. In passenger traffic, it is mainly served by the Irish low-cost airline Ryanair.
