Ibiza airport is the international airport for the Balearic Islands of Ibiza and Formentera, officially known as “Aeroport d’Eivissa” in Catalan. It is located in the southwest of Ibiza Island and about 7 km southwest of Ibiza city center. The Airport has started during the Spanish Civil War as a temporary military airport. Back to 1916, Barcelona El Prat Airport was located at El Remolar, in the grounds of La Volatería farm.
