Hamburg Airport

The airport Hamburg, own name Hamburg Airport, since 2016 also Hamburg Airport Helmut Schmidt, is the international airport of the city Hamburg (with a small part on Norderstedter area). It is the oldest and fifth largest airport in Germany. In 2018, it was used by around 17.23 million passengers, a decrease of 2.2 percent compared to the previous year. The airport is a hub of Eurowings. The name of Hamburg Airport was added to the name supplement "Hamburg Airport Helmut Schmidt" on 10 November 2016 in honor of the late Chancellor and honorary citizen of Hamburg Helmut Schmidt. This goes back to a decision of the Hamburg citizenship of 21 January 2016. Schmidt died on 10 November 2015 at the age of 96 years....

Berlin Tegel Airport 

Berlin Tegel Airport is one of the two international airports and is located in the Berlin district of Reinickendorf. In 2016, approximately 21 million passengers were handled. Regarding the number of passengers, Tegel Airport ranks fourth in Germany (after Frankfurt am Main, Munich, Dusseldorf). As Berlin Brandenburg Airport could not be completed for a variety of reasons until further notice, Tegel Airport will remain operational for the time being.
