Bonn/Hangelar Airport

The airfield Bonn / Hangelar is a German airfield in the Sankt Augustin district Hangelar, located in the south of North Rhine-Westphalia. First flight tests in the Hangelarer Heide were already in 1909, in both world wars Hangelar was used as a military airfield. The airfield is located about six kilometers northeast of Bonn. The ADAC Luftfahrt Technik GmbH operates there an integrated training center for air rescue. At the Hangelar airfield there is also a helicopter squadron of the Federal Police. The Hangelar airfield serves as a focal point for corporate flights.
