Essen/Mülheim Airport
The airfield Essen / Mülheim is a traffic landing place in the southwest of the Ruhr area. It is nationally important for vocational pilot training and serves as the home base of some impact airships. The airfield is located on the border between Essen and Mülheim an der Ruhr, about eight kilometers southwest of the Essen and about five kilometers southeast of the Mülheim city center. The reception building is located near the Essen-Kettwig motorway exit of the A52. Bus line 130, direction Mülheim Hauptfriedhof or Rhein-Ruhr-Zentrum and the TaxiBus T04 of the Ruhrbahn have a stop at the airfield.
