Bremen Airport is the international airport of the city of Bremen. Based on the number of passengers, the airport is ranked twelfth in Germany in 2015, in terms of freight in fifteenth place. It is located 3.5 kilometers south of the city center in the district of Neuenland Bremer Neustadt. The extreme western part (about 600 m) including the end of the runway 27 is located in the area of Lower Saxony. Due to its proximity to the city center, it was marketed as "City Airport Bremen". The airfield Hamburg-Finkenwerder is a special landing site in the southwest of Hamburg and part of the factory premises of Airbus Operations GmbH in Hamburg-Finkenwerder on the Elbe. It has a runway on which about 10 to 15 aircraft take off and land every working day as part of test and delivery flights as well as material transports and factory air traffic.
